Jon Lovitz, the comedic actor and staunch supporter of Israel, recently expressed his strong opinions against Senator Bernie Sanders and members of the Democratic “Squad” over their stance on Israel.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Lovitz, who is Jewish, referred to Sanders as a “self-loathing Jew” and criticized his political ideology.
Lovitz’s humorous take on Sanders’ ‘Democratic Socialist’ label
Lovitz’s comments focused on Sanders’ self-description as a “Democratic Socialist,” which he equated humorously to being a “Jew for Jesus.”
He explained his view of the difference between a communist and a Democratic Socialist, saying, “A Democratic Socialist is somebody you vote for, and then they take all your money and give back what they think you need. A communist — they just appoint themselves.”

Squad’s BDS support criticism, allegations against Rep. Rashida Tlaib

He accused Tlaib of spreading lies about Israel and not retracting statements even after they were disproven.
Lovitz on Israel, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, and climate views
Lovitz argued that wanting to “get rid of Israel” is inherently antisemitic because Israel is a Jewish state.
In addition to his comments on Israel, Lovitz also criticized Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., not for her stance on Israel but for her views on climate change and reproduction.
He mocked her suggestion that people should consider not having children due to climate change, calling it “moronic.”
Lovitz on Israel-Hamas divide, cease-fire critique
When asked about the divide among liberals on the Israel-Hamas conflict, Lovitz attributed it to “Jealousy, fear and misinformation.”
He discussed the historical context of Palestinians in Israel, referring to them as Jordanian refugees and emphasizing the coexistence of Israelis and Palestinians within Israel.
Lovitz concluded by criticizing calls for a cease-fire with Hamas, questioning the logic of negotiating with a group that, in his view, is committed to Israel’s destruction.
